I ordered a Daniel Defense Omega rail from one of the trusted vendors on this site. I have tried to get in contact with them, but so far no response (ok, I'm impatient/wanting to know from the gurus).Daniel Defense counterfeit products may appear to be identical to the original with the appropriate Daniel Defense branding, patent numbers and registered trademark. However, Many of these counterfeit products do not fit properly on the standard AR-15 platform rifle and/or on standard Picatinny rails -- resulting in improper consumer . Ok, so I've been considering replacing my KAC RAS sets for a while now with Daniel Defense Omega rails, and I would like your opinions. I also considered MOE handguards, but the omega rail is almost as light and much more solid, but also much more expensive. Reasons to switch to Omega Rails: Omega is lighter than KAC RAS Thinner Built in QD . If you want a Daniel Defense quality and super light quad rail look into their EZ CAR rails. They're non free float and look pretty cool. Unlike the Omega they're a lot cheaper at around 5. I've got an unused one in carbine length that I'm looking to sell right now, I'll give it to you for 0 if you're interested The Daniel Defense Omega Rail is a premium upgrade to AR’s with plastic handguards and is now available with Picatinny, KeyMod or M-LOK attachment system. The Omega Rail 7.0 is designed to work with carbine-length AR-15 gas systems and its exceptionally light weight makes it perfect for short rifles where size and weight are crucial performance attributes. That is a sweet rifle and a quality rail. Is there an advantage to one that retains the use of the A-frame sight/gas block like that Vs a low profile block and rifle length rail? The Omega-X rail is more streamlined compared to the LITE rail due to the lack of a bolt-up plate and the Omega-X rail also has machined in QD swivel mount holes towards the back of the rail.
