I liked it but it reminded me of a bunch of other (cheaper) leathery ouds I've tried, my favorite being Hermes Agar Ebene for it's quiet refinement. This is a fearless elixir, recognised for its use of leather, oud, and incense. However the floral notes play an equally important role, infusing contrast and sophistication that commands respect. Suited savages and classy killers, look no further. Yes, it's a very nice scent, but compare it to Tom Ford's Ombre Leather or Montale's Oud Pashmina - both of which are waaaay cheaper - you get pretty much the same scent (especially with Ombre Leather) for less money and .Whilst everything else seems motionless, the desert comes alive and draws the traveller into a passionate odyssey. Ombre Nomade is designed for lovers of rare essences and concentrates that sensation of infinity into one of the most mythical ingredients in perfumery: oud wood.

I compared it to sauvage elixir and the elixir seems to be significantly stronger. Has anyone else had similar experience? The first spray of Ombre Nomade fills your nose with notes of black leather, oud, saffron, natural rose (like from a vibrant bouquet of roses, not an artificial kind found in cheaper frags), and touches of incense. I've recently been thinking the idea of layering two strong fragrances, Dior Homme Parfum and Ombre Nomade, to create something unique. They do both share some notable similarities in the note breakdown.
