The list below has the models that Panerai made and sold around from around 1993 to the time that Vendome group purchased Panerai around 1997.The PAM 5218-201/A is the so-called 'Pre-Vendome' logo model. Although a tough sell when available from new, it has risen to be one of the holy grails for many Panerai collectors. It is estimated that a little under 700 were produced in this configuration, with an additional 200 being reworked into Slytech models. The "Pre-Vendôme" watches ranged in size between 42mm and 44mm and primarily featured the classic trademark design "Luminor" case which is distinguished by the half-crescent shaped crown guard. These "Pre-Vendôme" watches were scaled-down versions of the original Rolex made Panerai watches, and paid homage to the earlier Panerai models.
