Update: I had my watch cleaned by a professional and as luck would have it, he knows the sole distributor for Mondaine in my country. He showed him the watch and the distributor said this watch is indeed a real Mondaine. It is apparently a precursor to the m-watch ecomatic, both made from recycled materials. This was issued late 80s.
