I still own original L'Homme (tester) which is from June 2014 (Checkcosmetics) and smells still very good though definitely reformulated compared to first release. I've been thinking of getting a bottle of L'Homme (not LHDN). However I see a lot online about death by reformulation. My question is whether it's worth seeking out a vintage bottle? RESULTS. There are clearly three different formulations, the first being the original one; after that, there was a subtle but clear reformulation in the samples marked "year 2014" and "year 2015" (both are identical), and finally another reformulation in the "year 2016" sample.
I think the first formulation is pretty magnificent, almost flawless in it’s composition, whereas I found the 2nd version grading and borderline unwearable. I’ve had multiple bottles of each and ended up selling the reformulation bottles every time after a handful of wears. Newer versions seem more powdery to me but again others may disagree.
